"UHN: Committed To Patient and Planet Centered Care"

“Greening” health care is no small matter at University Health Network (UHN). Led by the Energy and Environment department, UHN has been breathing life into the motto UHN: Committed to Patient and Planet Centered Care since adopting an environmental management system in 2000. Our environmental programs frequently break new ground, testing out ideas and innovations that are new to health care and beyond. The department is involved at all levels, whether its working with staff to implement individual actions or being involved with policy level discussions on how to move UHN through the 21st century and maintain our position as healthcare leaders in sustainability.
