Professional nursing practice is about the structures and the processes that help us to achieve the vision and mission of nursing at UHN.

Nurses at UHN play a vital role in the provision of quality patient care through professional nursing practice. Input from across the three hospitals contributed to the initial development of our professional nursing practice model , and through its active use, nurses participate in its continual evolution.

Through understanding, embracing, and living our mission and vision, nurses at UHN will clearly demonstrate the following outcomes:
