Maureen Daniels, BScN, R.N.
Coordinator, Pencer Centre
Maureen Daniels joined The Pencer Brain Tumor Centre as Coordinator in June 1998, five months prior to the official opening of the centre. She enjoys working with patients and families, being involved in the development of many of the educational and supportive programs, and working with the entire Pencer Centre Team to provide comprehensive care.
Maureen has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario, and has been working with patients living with brain tumours for the past 18 years. Her experience includes caring for patients in a neurosurgical intensive care unit prior to and immediately following surgery, and caring for patients who are undergoing radiation and/or chemotherapy. She has been a facilitator of support groups for patients living with brain tumours for over 12 years, and is currently the facilitator of the monthly support group for patients at The Pencer Centre. Much like our Mission Statement, Maureen hopes to be able to ‘make a difference in the quality of life of those people living with brain tumours’.
