Allied Health - Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists are valued members of many of the interdisciplinary teams at UHN including the Regional Geriatric Program, Psychiatry (including Eating Disorders, Geriatric Medical Psychiatry, IMPACT), General Medicine and General Surgery, Multi-Organ Transplant, Oncology, Neuroscience, Cardiac Care, Musculoskeletal/Rheumatology, Hand Program and Healthy Connections. They play a vital role in maximizing patient quality of life and returning patients back to the "job of living." In addition to clinical care, occupational therapists at UHN are involved in research and educational activities across various programs.
Qualifications as an Occupational Therapist:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
Qualifications as an Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Diploma from recognized Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
