Volunteer Program Requirments
Volunteer Resources at University Health Network offers volunteer candidates the opportunity to experience patient-care in one of the leading health care institutions in the world. Volunteers can provide support as part of our Regular Program, Summer Program, or Pre-Arranged Placement Program.
General Requirements:
- Professional, Reliable, Punctual, Team-oriented, Customer-Service oriented
- Must be able to communicate at an advanced level of English both verbally and orally.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Regular Program
- Available to candidates who can complete at least 140 hours over one (1) year.
- Commit to the same day each week for at least one 3-4 hours shift.
Summer Program
- Available to candidates who are available during the summer months (May-August).
- Commit to the same day each week for at least two (2) 4 hour shifts.
Please note that applications for the summer Program are made available early in the New Year. There is a strict deadline for summer applications, and all regular program summer candidates must complete their application cycle by an assigned deadline to be considered for a volunteer placement, and to allow processing time.
