Al and Malka Green Artists' Health Centre

The Artists' Health Centre offers both complementary/alternative and conventional health care to professional creative and performing artists, and to students and staff at post-secondary arts institutions. Our mandate includes research, education and outreach to the arts community.

The specialized expertise of our practitioners focuses on the specific health care issues and needs of artists, with a view to providing a holistic approach to health within an evidence-based framework.

The Centre includes an Acoustic Studio and a Movement Assessment Studio with a sprung floor and video equipment to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

Subsidy Program

One of the mandates of the Artists' Health Centre Foundation is to assist artists with financial need to pay for the non-OHIP alternative health treatments offered at the Al & Malka Green Artists' Health Centre (AHC). The Foundation has established a fund to provide limited subsidies to eligible professional Canadian artists (from all arts disciplines) with occupationally related health care needs to be applied toward the cost of alternative treatments at the Artists' Health Centre that are not covered by public or private health insurance plans.
