The Asthma and Airway Centre
The Asthma and Airway Centre is an ambulatory care facility. Patients are referred to the Centre for the diagnosis, treatment and management of asthma and other respiratory problems.

Asthma Clinic and Educational Programs:
Patients with asthma or suspected asthma are referred for diagnosis assessment treatment, management, and education. the educational programs focus on improving patients' knowledge, skills, and confidence so they can become effective partners in managing their asthma. Education sessions are available for:
- patients attending the asthma clinic
- direct referrals from family physicians
- referrals for smoking cessation
Occupational Asthma Clinic:
Patients are referred to the Occupational Asthma Clinic when it is suspected that substances in the workplace may be causing their asthma symptoms. Special investigations and tests are carried out to confirm the diagnosis, then the necessary steps or treatments required are recommended. If in doubt, call (416) 603-5177 or (416) 603-5504.
Allergy Clinic:
Patients are referred to the Allergy Clinic for various allergy-related problems which include diagnosis, treatment, and management. Special tests for environmental allergies, foods, medication, latex, or other tests may be required. Patients having allergy skin tests are required to stop using antihistamines for at least four days or longer before their appointment with the doctor to ensure accurate results. Pulmonary Rehabilitation Clinic:
This program is an intensive approach to pulmonary health, assessment, medical management, diagnosis, treatment and education directed at lifestyle modification for clients with chronic lung disease.
