Hemodialysis In-Centre
The hemodialysis in-centre is a combined ambulatory and acute in-hospital dialysis unit. It is made up of two departments with chronic ambulatory dialysis stations and in-patient acute stations. Each station accommodates three shifts of dialysis per day.
Ambulatory Chronic Dialysis Unit: state-of-art dialysis unit with the most advanced technology for providing dialysis therapy
Combined Ambulatory Dialysis Unit: acute in-hospital dialysis unit, serving the needs of dialysis patients already in hospital, referred from programs such as transplant, surgical oncology, vascular surgery, and cardiovascular surgery
Our services:
- Dialyze each patient three times weekly, on Monday-Wednesday-Friday (MWF) and Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday (TTS) schedules.
- Provide daily dialysis therapy--an effective dialysis alternative for patients whose organ systems are unstable
- Offer an exercise program to improve circulation (clearance) of toxins out of the blood, heart health, energy, and sense of independence--may also enable patients to reduce medications
- Provide patient education materials on nutrition, sexuality, exercise, and other topics
