Medical Day Unit (TGH)

The Medical Day Unit at Toronto General Hospital assists outpatients with a wide variety of medical conditions, from transplantation to blood disorders. Nurses with a broad range of medical and surgical skills provide a wide variety of medical, surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Our services:

• Administering intravenous antibiotics
• Performing iron infusions and blood transfusions
• Performing medical procedures such as therapeutic phlebotomies, paracenthesis, liver biopsies and muscle biopsies
• Admitting patients for recovery after same-day surgeries
