Services
The neuropsychology clinic provides assessment and consultation services to inpatient and outpatient clinics within the Krembil Neuroscience Program. We evaluate how diseases and disorders such as stroke, Parkison's and epilepsy may affect cognitive functioning (memory, language, problem-solving).
This information helps to:
- clarify a diagnosis
- assist the individual understand their strengths and weaknesses
- examine changes associated with medical or surgical treatment
- recommend strategies to assist with problem areas in cognition
We also carry out specialized procedures such as (Wada testing, fMRI studies of language and memory) to assist with treatment planning.

The Neuropsychology Program has several research lines, including:
- examination of specific memory impairments associated with epilepsy and mild cognitive impairment
- using fMRI to map brain networks involved in relational memory, working memory, and language processes in both healthy individuals and in neurological disease
