Research

Objectives

Develop multidisciplinary, multispecialty research projects on prevention, diagnosis, course, treatment and outcome of diseases and conditions that affect women nationally and internationally.

Action Plan

  1. Identify key women's health issues in each of the hospital's priority and special programs (cardiovascular disease, neurosciences, oncology, transplantation, community and multicultural health, mental health/eating disorders, musculoskeletal/autoimmune disorders, midlife and aging health, genetics/genomics and information systems).
  2. Bring together multidisciplinary researchers and research consortia with the other stakeholders to develop state of the art and science research grants in emerging and established areas of women's health.
  3. Obtain grant funding for research projects.
  4. Conduct research, analyze data, submit abstracts, and present findings at national and international conferences
  5. Publish articles in the best relevant peer-reviewed journals
