The Patient Focus Group is a new patient-centred care initiative,
created by the Patient Relations Department of UHN. The Patient Focus Group surveys current and former UHN patients and their families about hospital issues. The feedback we receive is used to understand our patients’ perspective as we implement change at the hospital. One of the exciting aspects of this focus group, is that all communication will be done through email and you will have the ability to contribute when it is convenient for you.
What does it mean to be a Patient Focus Group member?
- You can choose which survey questions you would like to answer.
- We will keep your personal comments and identity anonymous when we share the results of our surveys.
- You can withdraw from the group at any time.
- You can be confident that your care will not be affected by your participation in or withdrawal from the focus group.
We recently asked our Patients about their opinions in order to make our brochures and posters more “patient-friendly”. Below is a sample of one of our posters, before and after we received patient feedback.
