Where We Are Today
In June 2006, University Health Network announced that the multi-million dollar Together We Make Life Better fundraising campaign, launched in November 2002, reached $554 million, a record in fundraising for a Canadian hospital.
The foundations credit a community-wide effort with helping UHN reach its campaign goal. Volunteers, staff and donors made the difference through their participation in Family Campaign events and personal donations.

Support for Clinicians and Researchers
The Campaign is primarily focused on raising funds to support our outstanding clinicians and researchers. With 75 percent of Campaign proceeds dedicated to endowed Chairs, Professorships and Funds for Excellence, UHN is able to create opportunities in research and education that attract and retain the world’s leading healthcare professionals.
Patients' Lives Made Better
Our clinicians give the best care to our patients and our researchers search for the answers to improve our patients' quality of life. Read some of our patients stories:
- Jennifer Lowden - Ups and Downs with Lupus
- Keith Hautala - Cancer Survivor
