University Health Network's role in medical student training is administered through the Wightman-Berris Academy, one of the University of Toronto's three Faculty of Medicine academies. The Wightman-Berris Academy serves the medical students in each of the four years of undergraduate training, as well as students from the disciplines of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech language pathology. To assist health professions trainees and enhance their learning experience in the hospital setting, the academy provides student space at each of three designated hospital sites: Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, and Mount Sinai Hospital.
