Who Are We?
The Krembil Neuroscience Program is located within theUniversity Health Network, in Toronto, Ontario. A quaternary care facility, it is on the forefront of diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting with complex neurological conditions.
Target Audience
Our symposium is aimed at health care professionals who care for patients with brain and Spine cord dysfunction. It is also appropriate for members of the interdisciplinary team and health care students.
Conference Objectives
Caring for individuals with brain and Spine pathology can be challenging. Input from a multidisciplinary team is essential in providing quality care. Our symposium aims to:
- Provide a forum for health care professionals to increase their knowledge of neurological pathology and advances in surgical technology;
- Examine evidence-based approaches in the management of; individuals adapting to neurological injuries/pathology;
- Identify resources to assist the health care team in the provision of care to these individuals;
- Discuss the application of current research in clinical practice;
- Discuss innovative strategies designed to support patients and families in coping with their illness
