SIMS Education Mission Statement
SIMS Education supports exemplary patient care through the design and delivery of quality clinical and business application training programs and consultation services to the UHN Community and SIMS Partnership.

Who We Are?
Shared Information Management Services (SIMS) Education provides a variety of computer training programs for clinical and business applications.

Clinical Applications
The SIMS Education team core objective is to support training programs for the UHN Electronic Patient Record (EPR), which is used across the three sites of University Health Network, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, and Princess Margaret Hospital and Oncology Patient Information System (OPIS) which is used at Princess Margaret Hospital clinics.  As an integral part of SIMS, the education team also plays a key role in various initiatives for projects across the SIMS partner sites.

Clinical Administrative Applications
In addition, SIMS Education provides new-user training for the Pathways Healthcare Scheduling System, supporting the administrative clinical community across the three sites.

Business Applications
SIMS Education also assists the business community by offering business courses in two formats: instructor-led classes and self-directed Computer Based Training (CBT) in our Multimedia Training Center. Courses supporting business applications are open to the health care community.
