What are blood disorders?

Blood disorders are conditions related to blood coagulation (clotting) or hereditary abnormalities in blood proteins, such as thalassemia or sickle cell anemia.

The University of Toronto's Hemoglobinopathy program is Canada's referral centre for the comprehensive management of patients with hemoglobinopathies (blood disorders) such as thalassemia or sickle cell disease.
