program Objectives
A key objective of the Patient Education Research program is to provide a forum in which to promote the advancement of Canadian research and scholarship in patient education. In order to fulfill its goal, the program will:
- Provide for the discussion of studies, issues and trends in patient education, and for the dissemination of research findings;
- Promote exchanges among members and other patient educational researchers in Canada and internationally;
- Foster partnerships and, through educational research, influence public policy and help determine the nature, structure and funding of the research agenda.
- Provide an organizing centre for patient education activities by bringing together diverse innovations and programs.
