What are sleep disorders?
Sleep disorders involve any difficulties related to sleeping, including difficulty falling or staying asleep, falling asleep at inappropriate times, excessive total sleep time, or abnormal behaviors associated with sleep. UHN's Sleep program is one of Canada's largest sleep programs, addressing problems such as panic attacks during sleep, insomnia, breathing problems and epileptic seizures during sleep. The staff is also involved in research and education activities, and is actively exploring new frontiers of sleep medicine, such as telehealth and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
