All hospital staff are required to wear an identification badge with their name, job title and department on it. University Health Network has security officers at all three hospitals 24 hours a day.

Security Operations is a Support Service, which contributes to the excellence of patient care through the effective and accountable delivery of services to its many customers. The focus of service is the User, not the Provider. Whatever the Department does, it is ultimately accountable to the customer.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have information regarding a crime or incident how can I report it?
Call Security Control at 4111 (TGH/TWH) or 4478 (PMH) and request that an officer come and take the information from you.

I have valuables that need to be secured. What do I do?
Call Security Control at 4111 (TGH/TWH) or 4478 (PMH) and request that an officer attend to pick up the articles to be placed in safekeeping. Please have the valuables ready for the officers when they arrive. The envelope containing the valuables will require two signatures. An officer will take the envelope and secure it in the Property room. Any money will be taken to patient accounts and a receipt will be issued and brought up to you, on the next business day.
