PrintThe Privacy Office is committed to establishing standards of privacy, confidentiality and data security to protect the personal health information of UHN patients. The Office consists of a Corporate Privacy Officer (CPO) and a privacy team that is educated and trained to provide privacy guidance in the healthcare field. We were established at UHN to be a resource for privacy information, for policy development, including the UHN privacy policy and for educating all UHN staff, patients and visitors on privacy issues.
Educating UHN about our Privacy Policy
We continually conduct privacy training sessions for UHN staff, volunteers, and students. These sessions:

| • | Explain the UHN Privacy Policy |
| • | Present practical tips for handling common situations involving access, use and disclosure of personal health information |
| • | Answer questions about privacy and patient confidentiality issues |
