The Toronto Hospital Foundation |
Established in 1986 as the fundraising arm of The Toronto Hospital, The Toronto Hospital Foundation seeks financial support for the Hospital. This includes financial support for the advancement of medical education, research, the improvement of patient care and the purchase of equipment and other assets not covered by the Hospital's budget.
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Members from the scientific and education community, in addition to the business and professional community work together to enhance, develop and maintain the fundraising goals and initiatives of The Toronto Hospital Foundation.
Our donation services include special occasion gift cards, annual giving funds, and memorial funds, just to name a few. The Foundation is a Registered Canadian Charitable Organization (No. 12386 4068 RR0001). Official receipts for tax purposes will be issued for donations as appropriate. The Foundation issues tax receipts for gifts to the Foundation and to The Toronto Hospital. For more giving information please call the Foundation office at (416) 340-3935.
Contributions and the Donor Recognition Programme |
One of the Foundation's principal projects
is The Spark of Life fundraising campaign.
The $21 million endowment campaign will raise funds to support research
in neurological diseases, such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, epilepsy and
stroke and to fund research in brain and spinal cord injuries. A portion
of the funds will also go toward purchasing equipment to further advance
research in the neurosciences.
