Rick Hansen's Wheels in Motion

Rick Hansen became a national hero while embarking on his Man in Motion World Tour and wheeling through 40 countries across the globe. On June 14th, Rick’s legacy will continue as 225 communities across the country participate in this new initiative to support the Rick Hansen Institute and the Krembil Neuroscience Centre at Toronto Western Hospital.

Wheels in Motion aims to raise awareness and funds to improve the quality of life for people living with spinal cord injury and to further the research to repair debilitating spinal cord injuries. Pledge your support and join us at Ontario Place on June 14 to WHEEL, BIKE, IN-LINE SKATE, RUN or WALK. Walk, wheel, run or blade the 2km route or cycle the 7.5km route.

Registration begins at 8:00 am and there is no registration fee. Raise at least $75 in pledges and you will receive two free play-all-day passes from Ontario Place! There will also be face painting and other fun activities. Pledge forms are available at Scotiabank branches, Longo's stores and at www.rickhansen.com

Volunteers are also needed to assist on the day of the event with registration, as route marshalls and to hand out t-shirts and prizes.
