A Comparison of Quality of Life of Patients with Psoriatic Arthritis and Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
A comparison of quality of life of patients with Psoriatic Arthritis and patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Both these conditions affect the skin and the joints and may have a similar effect on the quality of life. However, SLE affects mostly women, whereas Psoriatic Arthritis affects men and women equally. We are asking patients with SLE and patients with Psoriatic Arthritis to identify their closest relative or friend of the same sex and age whom they consider healthy, and ask these individuals to complete one quality of life questionnaire (SF-36). This way we can compare each disease group to its own controls, and well still be able to compare the two patient populations.
