Welcome to the Pre-Admission Department of Toronto Western Hospital.
Our clinic assesses patients prior to their scheduled date of surgery.
Our services:
- Blood tests
- X-rays
- Medical and anesthetic consults
- Nursing assessments
- Pre-operative teaching (on the recommendation of the surgeon)
We also provide autologous blood donations on the unit for those
patients who are donating their own blood prior to surgery.
The unit has clerical
and nursing staff working closely together to ensure
patients and their families are fully informed as to their impending
hospital visit.
