Dr. Mary Ferguson-Paré - Virtual Presence and Personal Action

Mary Ferguson-ParéA Special Thank You to all Nursing & Allied Health Staff at UHN

I know that you have gone above and beyond the call of duty in supporting patient care throughout the SARS outbreak. Although we have no definitive answers at this point in time, it is apparent that our approach to service delivery will be impacted long-term. We will need to redefine our approach to infection control and best practices in the emerging health care delivery environment.

We have all been experiencing a sense of isolation with the restrictions on our movement within and beyond UHN. Thank you for your diligence and dedication to caring for our patients and for each other as we anticipate, plan for and deal with future developments. It is an honour and a privilege to be your colleague.

Since I can’t come to you, send me your comments, ideas, issues or concerns so I can do my best work in supporting your practice and incorporating your ideas into planning our response at UHN.
