Respiratory Therapists (often called “RT’s”) are health-care
professionals who provide treatment to patients with breathing problems.
Respiratory therapists care for patients in the hospital in a variety
of areas such as intensive care units, emergency departments, operating
rooms, and in-patient and outpatient clinics. Respiratory therapists
at UHN monitor and provide care for patients 24 hours a day 365 days
a year.
