Overview of UHN's Strategic Planning Process
Over the course of the last year, UHN has been extremely active in developing its Strategic Plan. This process has included five main parts:
- A detailed analysis of the health care environment by the Strategic Planning Task Forces;
- The approval of seven Program Groupings and the Core Clinical Services for organizing its clinical activity;
- The review and development of a new Vision;
- And, most recently, the development of activity targets to guide UHN's clinical volumes over the next 5 years.
- Part 5 is the synthesis of the Strategic Directions document and this part of the process is currently in its final draft stages.
The Strategic Planning Process:
